I poked around in the hole but honestly not sure there is anywhere for the water to come in. i don’t see any hole just a plastic piece that kinda has a slot on it. There is no water or air coming out of the hole. My only thoughts are 1) the gauge truly is bad. or 2) a piece of debris is stuck in the orifice on the gauge.

If the water pressure gauge glass broken or missing [link to article on water tank air volume controls]. or if the gauge is visibly rusty or damaged. or if the gauge simply stops changing what it indicates despite the water system pressure changing (in other words the pressure shown on the gauge never changes) you should replace the gauge itself. Water was all the way through the tubing!

Ask the dealer if the warrantee covers all mechanical problems. As the previous post suggested. remove the hose from the gauge and be sure that the tube has no leaks and allows air to pass.

You either have a hole in that tubing someplace. or the gauge is bad. I have a yamaha f150 on my ranger reata 1850. Ask the dealer if the warrantee covers all mechanical problems.
The Water Pressure Gauge Is A Mechanical Gauge. Not Electronic.
Push a small stick or screwdriver down the hole to clear out anything that make be blocking. So if the reading on the pressure gauge is over 75 psi. then you know that the pressure regulator is not working correctly and will have to be repaired or replaced. The way it works is water pushes into the tubing near the engine end.
