3/8 barb to 3/8 male npt brass fittings My temp guage never leaves the 150 (bottom reading) except when i first turn on the ignition. when it jumps about an eighth of an inch.

Some use the trans pressure test port but i dont like it. Unlike water temp and oil pressure. theres often not a dedicated port to access trans temp.
