As September gives way to October, the Stage 4 football schedule has the following to offer:

Susquehanna Valley (3-0) will face Chenango Forks (3-1) at home on Friday night in a contest that will draw the attention of many. The Sabers will be good and hungry after losing their last two 40-0 to the Blue Devils.

Union-Endicott (2-1) picked up a couple of wins in their first home game against Corning (2-1), who lost a 15-12 game at home to Vestal last week.

Horseheads (2-2) will be home Friday night to take on Owego (1-3), who presents a rusher fresh from a school record outing. Steven Bidwell went for 295 yards against Johnson City, five touchdowns along the way.

Norwich (2-2) are in Johnson City on Friday, where the Wildcats will look to secure the program’s first 3-0 record since 2011.

Ninth-placed Walton (3-0) makes the long journey to top-placed Tioga (4-0) for a Friday matchup of the Class D hopefuls.
