Can the Green Bay Packers stay in the playoff hunt in their last five games?
Five games left. The Green Bay Packers have just four wins on the table and will likely need to win each of their remaining games to have any chance of a playoff spot.
It begins Sunday afternoon at Soldier Field when the Packers meet the Chicago Bears.
After their bye week, they will host the Los Angeles Rams, Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions, with an away game against the Miami Dolphins in between.
How many will the Packers win?
Week 13: Green Bay in Chicago
While Matt LaFleur’s offense should be successful against a struggling Chicago defense, I’m worried about Justin Fields in this game. A week after Jalen Hurts ran all over Green Bay’s defense for 157 rushing yards, Fields could do something similar.
No quarterback has had more rushing yards this season than Fields, and he has rushed for 552 yards and six touchdowns in his last five games.
The Packers score, but not enough.
Prediction: Chicago 33, Green Bay 30 (4-9)
Week 15: Green Bay vs. LA Rams
It’s unclear if Green Bay will officially drop out of playoff contention 4-9, but it’s possible that Jordan Love will take on the Los Angeles Rams in Week 15.
The Packers are a good match for the Rams. Los Angeles has the No. 31 rushing offense in the league. Green Bay’s defense doesn’t have to worry too much about losing the on-site matchup.
Prediction: Green Bay 24, Los Angeles 17 (5-9)
Week 16: Green Bay in Miami
The Miami Dolphins have not lost any games started and finished by Tua Tagovailoa this season. He has thrown for 2,564 yards, 19 touchdowns and only three interceptions in nine games.
Joe Barry’s defense could struggle against an offense from the Dolphins, ranked No. 3 in the NFL.
Prediction: Miami 31, Green Bay 24 (5-10)
Week 17: Green Bay vs. Minnesota
Are the Minnesota Vikings real? There are still questions about their chances in the playoffs.
But there is no question who wins this game. Justin Jefferson once again dominates the Packers runners-up to complete a Vikings season win.
Prediction: Minnesota 27, Green Bay 17 (5-11)
Week 18: Green Bay vs. Detroit
With Jordan Love at quarterback, the Packers at least end the season on a positive note and grab a win in Week 18.
Prediction: Green Bay 27, Detroit 21 (6-11)
