The last Saturday of September is upon us, which means important conference matchups are coming up in the week four college football program. No. 20 Florida will travel to Rocky Top to take on No. 11 Tennessee in the SEC on the CBS Game of the Week in a massive SEC East rivalry that will determine the state of the rebuild process for both teams.
Elsewhere, No. 5 Clemson will take to the streets to take on No. 21 Wake Forest at noon ET. The Tigers haven’t been impressive in three games, but a win over the Demon Deacons would be a sure sign that Dabo Swinney’s side can keep up.
A late-night SEC West bout between No. 10 Arkansas and No. 23 Texas A&M will begin in the evening, as will a cross-division Big Ten tilt between Wisconsin and No. 3 Ohio State.

The best games
No. 5 Clemson in No. 21 Wake Forest – Noon on ABC, fuboTV (Try it for free): This key ACC Atlantic matchup will be an intriguing clash of styles. The Tigers’ defense — particularly up front — is loaded, while the Demon Deacons’ fast, slow offense is as dangerous as any in college football. The winner of this has a tremendous advantage in the race for the division title.
No. 20 Florida in No. 11 Tennessee – 3:30 p.m. on CBS, CBSSports.com, CBS Sports App: The rivalry actually means something this year that’s great not just for the SEC but for the entire college football world. Gators quarterback Anthony Richardson has fought his way through the air, but that may have to change if this turns into a shootout and he has to keep up with the Volunteers’ fast offense led by Heisman Trophy nominee Hendon Hooker under center .
No. 22 Texas at Texas Tech – 3:30 p.m. on ESPN, fuboTV (Try it for free): This key domestic fight is already a big deal in the Big 12 title race, but that intrigue took it up a notch Thursday when it was announced that star quarterback Quinn Ewers – who was injured in the week’s loss to Alabama – was injured became 2 — will make the trip to Lubbock, Texas, and dress up. Ewers looked great against the Crimson Tide before his shoulder injury and it will be interesting to see how coach Steve Sarkisian uses him when he sees the field.
No. 10 Arkansas vs. No. 23 Texas A&M (in Arlington, Texas) – 7 p.m. on ESPN, fuboTV (Try it for free): This showdown at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas is full of intrigue. The Razorbacks have the worst passing defense in the country (352.7 yards per game), while the Aggies’ passing offense was mediocre at best. The loser of this game will have an uphill battle in the SEC West for the rest of the season.
Wisconsin in State #3, Ohio – 7:30 p.m. on ABC, fuboTV (Try it for free): This will be a style contrast between two Big Ten powers at the Horseshoe. The Buckeyes boast tremendous passing offense under Heisman contender CJ Stroud, and the Badgers are built to master the line of scrimmage on either side of the ball. Ohio State’s defense was a problem early in the season and this will be the biggest test of the young season.
No. 7 USC in the state of Oregon — 9:30 p.m. on the Pac-12 network, fuboTV (Try it for free): The high-flying Trojans offense will travel to Corvallis, Ore., where they will face off against a Beavers team that went very quietly 3-0 and produced the Pac-12’s second-best offense. If the Trojans’ defense tightens, it could be the signal that coach Lincoln Riley’s team is truly ‘back’.
