First released for the DS in 2007, Dark Souls takes off right after Aizen’s betrayal. Ichigo and his friends decide to attend a festival at Soul Society before heading home, only for some mod souls to escape from the R&D department. Led by a mod-soul named Kai, they rampage across Seireitei. These are no ordinary mod souls though – they all harbor a lot of negative feelings and start morphing into copies of hollows that have been featured throughout the series up to this point. As a continuation of Bleach: Soul Carnival, soul carnival 2 was first released for the PSP in 2009.
