#13 Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach
Let’s start with a franchise about terrifying robots and why you shouldn’t visit places with animatronics at night.
Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security breach stars you as Gregory, a boy who finds himself at night in the infamous Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex. You do know how bad that is, don’t you?
If you don’t do this, the malfunction indicator will go high when the lights go out. The animatronics know someone is in their building, and they’re willing to do anything to get to you. You’ll have to use different methods to get the animatronics off your tail so you can overcome them and get out alive.

#12 Junk Mechanic
In scrap mechanic, You play a mechanic who is sent to a distant world to help the robots that live there. The problem? When you arrive, all the robots on the planet have gone mad! They attack everything in sight, and now that includes you.
You’ll have to work hard and think fast to take out the robots and then build things to help you fight the remaining hordes.
There are several modes in the game that you can have fun with. In one, you can join some co-op partners to see how long you will survive in the world. Another is a challenge mode that will test your building skills. Finally, there is also a mode where you can build items to your heart’s content.
#11 Generation Zero
Welcome to Sweden. It won’t be the relaxing place you think it is. because in generation zero, An army of robots has taken over the city of Östertörn.
Why are they here? How did they take over so quickly? These are some of the answers to seek when attempting to take back your homeland. But fighting these robots will not be easy. You have to think like a guerrilla to take on them and then bring them down.
Scrap the fallen robots to build equipment so you can continue the battle. Keep the mission in mind and don’t get cocky or face the wrath of the robots.
#10 The Talos Principle
In The Talos Principle, You are a robot who has awakened after a long time and has been given a task by your master. This task is to roam the island you are on and solve the puzzles there. With over 120 puzzles, you’ll have your hands full.
You must manipulate both the environment and the technology surrounding the puzzles to solve them. However, there is a deeper meaning to everything that is happening.
You must decide whether or not to listen to your master. The robot you play does not know who he is, where he is or why he serves this “master”. Will you try to get your freedom? Or will you do as you are told?
PlatinumGames will be on this list twice and it’s not surprising that they have a penchant for robots as they are excellent things to fight against.
For example in their title Defeat, You play Sam Gideon, a soldier equipped with a special suit that turns him into the ultimate weapon. The ultimate weapon against what? An army of robots trying to rule the world!
Using his new arsenal, Sam will wipe out the robotic menace in an impressive battle that combines speed and strength in an entertaining experience.
Also, as with most of the developer’s titles, there’s a leaderboard to climb up as you get higher scores!
#8 Horizon Zero Dawn
Whether you play it on PlayStation console or PC, Horizon Zero Dawn is by far one of the best games of recent years. Guerrilla Games’ original IP transports you to a world reclaimed by nature, yet still home to future technologies.
You play as Aloy, a young woman who is an outcast in her tribe. To prove herself, she must venture across the contested land, battling giant mechanical monsters and slowly unraveling the truth of the world.
What truths will Aloy learn as you play the game? How many mechanical beasts are waiting for them out there? Get in and find out!
#7 Detroit: Become human
Developed by Quantic Dream, Detroit: Become Human is one of many titles developed by the team to be a thought-provoking experience.
The title takes place in Detroit in the year 2038. In this version of the future, robots are not just everywhere. They are an accepted part of everyday life. They resemble humans in almost every way, but humanity lets them know that they are nothing more than parts.
Throughout the story you will be three different robots. Through their eyes you will guide the story and see what this future world looks like. There are almost countless ways to end the game. So try one way and then start again to try another.
We know what you’re thinking. “Wait, it’s not Stray the game about controlling a cat?” Of course, the answer is yes. But you have to keep in mind that the game is mainly about this cat staying in a city full of robots.
An event has resulted in humans being wiped out and robots taking their place. But these robots try to behave like humans. So, as a cat, you wander around the city and help them where you can. You even have your very own robotic companion to interact with!
The story of the cat with these robots is deeper than you might expect. So check it out!
#5 Titanfall 2
Here’s a title that’s so good, people are still begging for a third game in the series. Unfortunately, since it’s not ready yet, you have to enjoy it titan fall 2. Not that this is a bad thing.
The game took everything the original title did and expanded upon it, making it legendary for gamers. The story mode may be short, but the bond your character and the robot Titan he meets along the way is great.
Then, when you jump into multiplayer, you’ll find that it’s fun to play whether you’re human or titan.
#4 Fallout 4
To be fair, you’re not playing as a robot fallout 4, but there are robots to fight and you also get a robot companion! That makes it worthy of our list.
The game makes you the survivor of Vault 111. You leave the vault to find your son who was taken from you. Together with your trusty dog and the robot, you embark on a search for answers through the wasteland.
The gameplay of the title is deep. Bethesda has made sure there’s plenty to do, plenty of things to craft, and unique locations to explore. Additionally, there is DLC that further increases your exposure to robots.
#3 Nier: Automata
Nier: Automata deserves to be on this list simply because robots are everywhere in the game! The setting is an earth where robots almost wiped out humanity. To fight back, they have developed androids, which are essentially robots, to fight back the mechanized swarms.
As 2B, 9S and more, you fight across the planet to make it better for humanity. But along the way, you must ask deep questions about your actions. The answers you receive can lead to over 20 different endings in the game!
Also, the title was created by PlatinumGames, which means you will have a deep fighting experience.
#2 Horizon Forbidden West
The sequel to the title we discussed earlier, Horizon forbidden west takes Aloy on a brand new adventure to a fresh part of her crumbling world.
Aloy knows the planet is dying and the only way to save it is to find the Forbidden West. But with new lands come new dangers, including numerous new mechanical beasts for her to overcome.
But can she? You will guide Aloy’s growth through multiple skill trees, granting her abilities to combat the dangers ahead and traverse the sprawling world around her. What will Aloy find on her journey west? Dive in and find out!
#1 portal 2
We admit that many titles on the list could have been #1. But when it comes portal 2, it’s easily one of the funniest and smartest games ever made. You also play as a robot, sometimes even in pairs!
The reason the game stands out in the minds of players is the quality of the puzzles and modes. For example, the single player and co-op campaign modes are completely different! Also, the puzzles you have to solve with the portal gun are not always easy.
You must sharpen your robotic mind as much as possible to defeat the reborn Glados!
